BOSTON – Advisors Living, the residential sales platform of Boston Realty Advisors, the largest Boston-based independent commercial real estate and consulting firm, yesterday celebrated the Grand Opening of its new sales office in Tewksbury, MA. The office will serve the Merrimack Valley including Tewksbury, Wilmington, Billerica, Lowell and Chelmsford, as well as southern New Hampshire.
The Tewksbury office, located in a handsome new retail space at 725 Main St., is the 16th sales office Advisors Living has opened in the Greater Boston area and Southern Maine over the past 18 months.
Attending the Grand Opening were local officials including State Senator Barry Feingold from the Second Essex and Middlesex District, several business affiliates, and dozens of Realtors from Advisors Living's other Greater Boston offices, as well as other real estate firms and local businesses.
Members of the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce conducted a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, and Merit McIntyre, Chief Executive Officer of Advisors Living, delivered a brief speech to the crowd. The well-attended event was catered by Bianco’s of Chelmsford.
"Tewksbury is a great option for homeowners who want a suburban, small-town feel coupled with convenience," said Michelle Oates, Senior Vice President at Advisors Living and a 25-year resident of the town. “We offer an easy commute to Boston, and we’re right next door to the city of Lowell, home to Lowell General Hospital and the University of Massachusetts Lowell, as well as a great selection of restaurants, concerts, and cultural events.”
“The towns in our area also offer relative affordability,” Oates said. “With an average single family home price in the mid-$600,000s and an average condo price in the upper $400,000s, Tewksbury appeals to both first-time and move-up buyers.”
Tewksbury is accessible from I-93 and I-495 and is served by MBTA Commuter Rail stations in nearby Lowell, North Billerica, Ballardvale, Wilmington and North Wilmington. The LRTA 12 bus connects Tewksbury to Lowell and the Lowell Commuter Rail Line in Wilmington. State routes 38 and 133 serve Tewksbury, offering many shopping and dining choices.
The town has extensive open space and walking trails and is bounded by Lowell, Dracut, Andover, Billerica and Wilmington. A historically agricultural community, Tewksbury was once known as the Carnation Capital of the world. Significant employers include the headquarters of the Market Basket supermarket company, Raytheon Technologies, and Tewksbury State Hospital.
"We are beyond excited to be opening an office in Tewksbury,” said McIntyre. “With its proximity to Routes 495 and 93, Tewksbury is a gateway not only to Boston but also to the coast and mountains. We are fortunate to have some of the region's best agents guiding sellers and buyers through the home sale process, and we anticipate significant growth in the coming year."
The majority of Advisors Living agents in the Tewksbury office have many years of real estate experience and had previously worked under the leadership of both McIntyre and Oates.
"We’re all incredibly happy to be working together again in Tewksbury," said Oates. “We are also attracting new talent in the office, which will ensure our success in the years ahead.” Advisors Living has had a presence in Tewksbury since early this year and is now in its permanent first-floor location on Main Street.
Advisors Living received positive media attention a week ago when the company was ranked No. 2 on Boston Globe’s “Top Places to Work 2023” list for mid-sized employers across all industries.
